About this course

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac redesigned the appraisal report. The updated form is mandatory for reports submitted on or after November 2, 2026. It asks far more about the property, reports the sales the appraiser considered and why, and is read by an underwriter and scored by software before a loan closes.

This course covers what a comparable sale is and what Fannie Mae requires of one; who reviews the report; what the form asks about your listing, field by field; what a missing answer sets off; and how to prepare the seller, the packet, and the site visit so the appraiser has facts instead of estimates.

2 CE hours · 3 sections · section quizzes and a final exam · downloadable handouts and homeowner questionnaires.
