Connecticut Real Estate Continuing Education Requirements
All Connecticut real estate licensees — salespersons and brokers — must complete 12 hours of continuing education every two years to renew their license. At least 3 of those hours must be a DCP-approved mandatory course covering current real estate and fair housing legislation, licensing laws, and regulations. The remaining 9 hours may be elective courses.
Salesperson:
CE Completion Deadline: February 28, 2026
License Renewal Deadline: May 31, 2026
Brokers:
CE Completion Deadline: August 31, 2026
License Renewal Deadline: November 30, 2026
Only CT DCP-approved courses count toward your Connecticut CE requirement. Out-of-state courses do not satisfy Connecticut’s requirement unless individually approved by the Commission.
